Neil Yeomans \u2013 Orbit<\/strong>
\nNeil is the Head of Property Safety for Orbit. His team is multi-award winning and Neil was awarded the prestigious \u2018influencer of the year\u2019 award by RoSPA in 2020. The core of Orbit\u2019s success is their \u2018Continuous Improvement\u2019 culture \u2013 one where they look beyond bare legal minimum standards and focus on safe systems of work. Ultimately, this has led Orbit to become the first national housing provider to achieve BS9997 accreditation, the International Safety Award for Customer Safety, as well as the RoSPA Gold for customer safety \u2013 this third-party recognition of Orbit\u2019s work is critical to providing assurance to customers that Orbit prioritise their safety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Andy Scott \u2013 C-Tec<\/strong>
\nAndy Scott is projects director for C-Tec, a UK manufacturer of commercial and residential fire alarm equipment.
\nAndy is active in British and European fire alarm standards committees and is chair of the BSI\u2019s FSH\/12\/5 fire alarm devices working group.
\nHe is also a member of the panel that produced the 2019 revision of BS 5839-6 Code of practice for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems in domestic premises.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nA Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer at Milner Associates; a firm with a breath of experience in the low-rise building sector. Martin is a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at Edinburgh Napier University, a member of the BSI Code Committees and technical advisor for the Structural Timber Association.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Alex Small - BIM & Digital Platforms manager Tata Steel Europe.<\/strong>
\nThis role involves the delivery of product information for Tata Steel\u2019s European businesses as well as the digital reach and interlock of the business through its data. Although starting with product-specific data, Alex\u2019s role is now looking at ways in which a wide-ranging array of data might be linked to physical products (through Tag & Track and Digital Twins) to add value for product traceability, circular economy and digital construction as a whole.<\/p>\n

Alex is involved in work for the UK BIM Alliance and is part of their Product Data Working Group, he also represents worldsteel and UK steel in BIM standards committees. He is an active member of Constructing Excellence - chairing their manufacturing, technology and offsite theme group and sits of Construction Product Europe\u2019s Digital Task Group. Alex is a keen advocate for structured data, IoT, DfMA, offsite construction and an integrated, digital, built environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Fabio Roberti - Head of BIM at WilkinsonEyre<\/strong>
\nHe leads the technology and processes for BIM according to the ISO 19650 series.
\nHe is responsible for developing and coordinating a more integrated project delivery between the structural, environmental and architectural teams through BIM and the deliverable packages utilising cross platform workflows and parametric optimisations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Will Perkins - Group Managing Director of SE Controls<\/strong>
\nWill has worked in the smoke control industry for over 35 years and is a long standing member of FSH\/025. He has actively participated in the drafting of many British and European standards and he is the Convenor of CEN TC191\/WG7, responsible for the production of EN12101 parts 9 and 10 which cover control panels and power supplies for smoke control systems. He was also the Convenor of BS7346 part 8 which covers the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of smoke control systems. Will was instrumental in the development and introduction of the UK Smoke Control Association\u2019s third party competence accreditation scheme.<\/p>\n

He has joined the group as he is keen to share his product and regulatory knowledge to promote digital technology in improving occupant safety through real-time compliance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Richard Appleton<\/b>
\nI have worked in software and product data for the electrical and HVAC sectors for over 30 years and for many years managed Luckins, the sectors\u2019 leading product and price data resource.\u00a0 I also worked in software product management for a range of contractor applications including estimating and procurement and for a few years managed NES (National Engineering Specification). Following Luckins\u2019 acquisition by Amtech and Trimble I worked on projects to create product data for e-commerce, design and BIM applications working closely with leading manufacturers and software providers.\u00a0I am currently employed by the Electrical Distributors Association managing their initiatives to help digitalise the sector and am a board member of ETIM UK, a joint venture with the Builders Merchants Federation to manage the ETIM data standard in UK.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

He has won numerous design awards for a host of innovations across a number of industries including the James Dyson Award, the Toyota IQ Design Challenge & Transport Design of the Year by the Design Museum.
