Neil Yeomans \u2013 Orbit<\/strong>
\nNeil is the Head of Property Safety for Orbit. His team is multi-award winning and Neil was awarded the prestigious \u2018influencer of the year\u2019 award by RoSPA in 2020. The core of Orbit\u2019s success is their \u2018Continuous Improvement\u2019 culture \u2013 one where they look beyond bare legal minimum standards and focus on safe systems of work. Ultimately, this has led Orbit to become the first national housing provider to achieve BS9997 accreditation, the International Safety Award for Customer Safety, as well as the RoSPA Gold for customer safety \u2013 this third-party recognition of Orbit\u2019s work is critical to providing assurance to customers that Orbit prioritise their safety. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Paul White - Gravesham Borough Council<\/strong>
\nExperienced housing development professional working for housing providers to deliver affordable housing since the mid-1990s. A Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing (FCIH) and Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) having also worked since the mid-2000s in sustainability and low carbon development and retrofit projects. Currently working since 2023 as a Senior Development Manager for Gravesham Borough Council in North Kent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Recent work includes the collaboration with Asset Owner Operators to better define and understand their requirements for the procurement and maintenance of physical assets and their associated data.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Matthew Taylor \u2013 Taylor Design Consultancy<\/strong>
\nMatthew has 24 years\u2019 experience in the construction industry, the majority being within the dry lining and internals sectors, and has previously held roles as head of a design department for a leading dry lining and internal fit-out specialist contractor, as well as technical management roles in the manufacturing sector, with two of the UK\u2019s leading dry lining system manufacturers.
\nMatthew\u2019s previous experience has included responsibility for building, assigning, and instructing project design teams, managing risk and strategic delivery, as well as identifying and reporting on construction defects and identifying potential remedial solutions.
\nIn addition to this, Matthew has been involved in the FIS working groups and BSi panels, relating to the review and revision of relevant dry lining standards and industry related concerns. In 2019 Matthew was awarded an industry award by the FIS.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Brett Hibbert \u2013 Fire Safety Manager<\/strong>
\nWith over 25 years\u2019 experience within the Fire Protection industry I now currently work for a social housing provider covering the South of England. I have extensive experience in various industries having started my career in the Royal Navy. My fire industry experience started as a fire extinguisher service engineer and with the introduction of the RRFSO in 2005 I decided to retrain so I could offer fire risk assessment services and advice. Having spent several years as a self-employed fire safety consultant I have an understanding of the different demands a fire risk assessor can experience depending on the situation, industry, and role they are undertaking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Emma Richman<\/strong>
\nEmma is currently the Exec Director of Operations at Peaks and Plains Housing Trust. She is a qualified Architect and Building Surveyor. She has had many Board roles, including Chair. She has also been an External Examiner at Sheffield Hallam University. Emma is currently a Trustee on the committee of the Pankhurst Centre in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Emma has a keen interest in BIM, having applied BIM to and existing tower block last year. Emma would love to see digital recording of Asset information to be mainstream and the norm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
